Managing Road Stream Crossings for Flood Resiliency and Fish Passage

This presentation will focus on strategies to manage road-stream infrastructure to accommodate changing conditions in our waterways. Culverts and other crossings are often undersized and have an over-sized impact on streams, blocking fish from moving upstream and creating hazardous conditions when high flows are forced out of stream channels on over roads. Trout Unlimited has been working with communities and state and federal partners in northern Wisconsin to upgrade crossings to improve flood resiliency and aquatic habitat. This creates safer communities, protects important species, and bolsters local economies. Join this presentation to learn more about this work, see what Resilient Crossing Designs look like, and find partnerships that can help get projects on the ground.
