He will provide an overview of macroinvertebrates common to Wisconsin streams and rivers and there importance to the functioning of aquatic and terrestrial environments. We'll learn about the respective roles of these animals in flowing water environments, and hear about some interesting traits and life histories. We'll delve into the use of these animals in assessing ecosystem health and learn more about some of the threats human activities pose to this assemblage of animals.
