Title: Petrifying Springs Park Pike River Restoration (Phase I)
Speaker: Nancy Retana
The Pike River is a major waterway in Wisconsin whose north and south branches meet at Petrifying Springs Park and then flow into Lake Michigan. Kenosha County Parks, in collaboration with local stakeholders and grant funders, has led restoration efforts to address streambank erosion and improve the flow of the river. Attendees of this presentation will learn about best management practices associated with the project and resource challenges addressed.
