"Hey, what kinda fish is that?": a crash course in using the Wisconsin Fish ID Tool

Have you ever caught or seen a fish and wanted to know what species it was? The Wisconsin fish Identification Tool is a user friendly, freely available app that can help you become a fish identify expert. In this session, we will explore the application and its many uses. The application has many photographs of each species (both native and invasive) in Wisconsin. A highly useful feature of the application is that you can “Identify by appearance”, where you narrow potential results simply by describing the fish’s mouth shape, tail shape, body pattern, etc. This session will be especially interactive with polls and Q&A at the end of the session.
