Our team of scientists, public outreach experts, educators, and students will be sharing our experiences using research on freshwater mussels to both raise awareness about these vital organisms and provide hands-on experience with the process of science.  We will discuss the challenges and high-reward benefits of conducting key research utilizing this approach.
