Poly-cyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH) pollution impacts many developed and developing waterways in Wisconsin, harming fish and wildlife. And, its human health impacts are quite worrisome, too. Learn about local efforts across the state, and now a statewide effort, to control the most potent and abundant source of this PAH pollution, which turns out to be a certain kind of pavement sealant product widely used in Wisconsin over recent decades. Learn which products are safe to use and which need to be phased out, and learn what local and statewide policy efforts can do to stop this problematic pollution at the source.
