Speakers: Congressman Gallager, Dean Katers, and Emily Tyner

Congressman Gallager will describe the Save the Bay effort and provide a review of GLRI funds.
Dean Katers will focus on STEM related initiatives at UW-Green Bay, including an overview of water related curriculum and initiatives, such as the establishment of a NERR for Green Bay.

Emily Tyner will present Designation of a Green Ban National Estuarine Research Reserve and answer the question, "what is a NERR and why does Green Bay need one?". Tyner will provide background on the National Estuarine Research Reserve system, a review of the designation process and associated timelines, and the regional benefits and opportunities of having a NERR in Green Bay.
