Description: Climate change impacts are without physical and social boundaries; everyone is or will be affected in the coming years. Unfortunately, due to social inequities, some of our community members are more prone to feel the effects of climate change or are less able to adapt to impacts from floods or increased temperatures, for example. Understanding how and where inequities exist can allow for the development of more just climate change response and solutions within our local communities. These strategies can vary for each community and each organization who in helping to put solutions in place.
This session will present concepts and examples associated with climate justice, followed by time to discuss options among small groups of attendees.
